Exciting weekend ahead...

Yeah right!! How can you have the exciting of a weekend when you have a big ass hurricane heading your way!! So we have to make sure we have all the necessities, lets check the list. Food, formula, diapers and clothes for the babies. Lots of alcohol for us so we can stay sane!! I am hoping Wilma will stay away but there is always a chance it could stop by for a visit. We will just have to wait and see what happens!!

Yes I am talking about the former host of America's Funniest Home Videos and the cleanest sitcom dad every Danny Tanner!! vbkim and I went and saw him at our local comedy club last night and had a great time!! He is by now means the man that people use to see on TV. Now, he does look the same but boy did he do lots of cursing and dirty talk. I laughed my ass off! Hubby was nice enough to stay home with the little one so I was trying to remember some of the funnier jokes and man is that hard, there were so many good ones. If he is ever on TV doing a comedy thing or he comes to your town, I highly suggest going to see him.

Life is so unfair...

I am feeling sympathetic tonight for those living in Texas and the Western part of Louisiana. Hurricane Katrina was bad enough for one hurricane season. Not only is the US preparing for another category 4 or 5 hurricane it is getting ready to hit the area that most of New Orleans evacuated too. Those people must have done something big to piss off the man up above to be getting this. Yeah Florida did get hit by 3 major hurricanes last year but I can honestly say none of them were as devastating as Katrina. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this one does not end as badly as the last one. To anyone that lives in or around Southern Texas or has family there tell them to all leave NOW!!!! If there are people that end up staying I feel they deserve what they get at this point.

Relaxation...

I was so happy this morning when I woke up and knew I did not have to go to work. Hubby and I both took the day off and hung out with our little man. It was such a nice and relaxing day. Little man was in such a good mood all day. He is getting so big. Last night the little one stood up by himself for the first time. We were so excited that we scared him and he started to cry. It was so cute!! Oh well, that's all I have been up too. What a boring life huh??

Puppy love..

Here we have vbkim's puppy Briscoe and Rocky having the time of their lives. These dogs crack me up when they get together. They play, sometimes very rough, for a long time and when they are done Rocky just sits there and licks Briscoe. It is hilarious!!

The New Orleans Saints have touched me...

Today is opening day for the NFL. I am so excited. I have been watching ESPN since 9am. On ESPN they did a special on the New Orleans Saints and all that they have been through. I was so touched when they showed the players back in New Orleans buying all kinds of needed supplies for the people still there. One player even helped a man buy a replacement engagement ring for his fiance. These players have been through so much and are still expected to go out and play football and do good. At first I thought they are going to probably have a bad season, however after watching the special I now think they are going to go out and play there hearts out for their town and have a great season. They're in the same division as the Bucs so I hope they aren't that good, but I will be routing for them to do good.

I have said before that I live in a heavily populated redneck area. What I saw the other day just made me realize how redneck some people really are. I pull up behind a car with a personalized license plate that reads "yunt too". I could not help but laugh. I wish I would have taken a picture of it, but I forgot my phone had a camera on it. If I somehow get behind this car again I will make sure it is a Kodak moment.

Oh Happy Days.....

Today was a great day in the MCG house. We broke down and purchased a new laptop, which I am very happy about, and MCG is in the process of fixing up his desktop. Hopefully it will be up and running by the end of the night. vbkim came over and brought her little pug Briscoe and he has been having the time of his life with our dogs. I will have to post a picture once everything is set back up. They are cracking me up. I think the dogs will all be sleeping very peacefully tonight, as will I.

I am alive...

I have been unable to post or check my blog for what seems like forever. I was informed on Monday that our desktop computer had bit the big one. And for some reason our laptop doesn't want to let us get online. I don't understand it, but can tell you that it is really annoying. Luckily I have parents that are current in the technology world so I am able to get on there computer to catch up. Hopefully we will be operating as normal by the weekend. Hope everyone is doing great and I will get back on track soon.

Drive through ATM, how does that work??

I decided I did not feel like cooking dinner tonight, we are eating fast food. Well to get that food I had to go to the ATM. Normally that is no problem, however today I got behind a redneck that I would swear has never been to ATM before. So I pull up and there is a car at the machine and a truck behind it. The car pulls away however the truck does not move. I realize the idiot from the truck has parked in the drive through lane but walked over to the ATM machine at the front of the bank. Being the nice sole that he was he took his sweet time. Finally after about 5 minutes, he got back in his car and moved out of my way so I could go about my evening. Come on people it's not that hard. The bank practically spells it out for you, DRIVE THROUGH ATM, not park and get out of your car and go to the ATM across the way. If you don't know how to use then don't go!! I think that has been enough ranting for the evening, enjoy!!

Commercials..

Tonight while watching football I saw a new Kellogg commercial. The one they use to show was with the guy eating the cereal that had so much crunch that he could not hear them saying he was fired. In the new commercial he has an assistant and they are both eating cereal and can't hear anything. I love it!! I think it is very funny!! I wish I had a way to make people think I was hearing them but really not be able too. I think that would make some days, like today, so much better.

What to do....

Every November our community has a Flapjack Festival. In the morning the soccer team from the local high school serves flapjacks and then they have a little festival similar to a carnival. They also have a Miss Flapjack contest every year. I was advised today that they also have contest for the younger crowd too. So I thought about entering baby MCG to be baby boy flapjack. How cool would that be?? The problem is that we were invited to a wedding out of state for a friend and it happens to be the same weekend as the contest. How do I decide what to do?? I would like to go to the wedding, but I would also like my little boy to be the baby boy flapjack, because I think he would win!!

Target is the devil....

We have a Super Target by our house and I love and hate the place. Target is the BOMB!!! However every time I go in there I can't leave without spending close to or over $100. Last week I took little MCG there and got him all kinds of goodies. He got some new big boy PJ's, a Buccaneers shirt for football season and a push and ride Hippo that has peak a blocks and it eats them. It's pretty darn cool!! He likes it and that's what matters. It looked like Christmas in our house this weekend.

Oh well that was my little rant about Target!!

OUCH!!!

Yesterday I decided it was time to get my eyebrows waxed. So I went to this Asia place on my lunch break and when I walked in I told them why I was there and the nice gentleman up front sent me to the back of the place. Here is how it went from there...

employee: go to the room
me: waiting for her to come in
employee: you need lip done?
me: no eyebrows
employee: lip?
me: NO EYEBROWS!!
employee: ok, lay down

so she's looking and starts to put HOT wax on my eyebrows and then rips it off along with a layer of skin, or so it felt that way.

employee: so you going to get your lip done?
me: NO
employee: you should do your lip
me: no I'm not interested, I've heard it really hurts!!

so the Biotch keeps pressing me and I keep telling her NO WAY!! Next thing I know I feel her putting hot wax on my lip. Oh I was sooooooo pissed. But at that point there was nothing I could do about her taking it upon herself to wax my lip after I expressed to her that I did not want it done. So needless to say my face was red the rest of the day and I was pissed. But what's done is done!!

I'm back...

I can't believe it has been a week since I posted. I went to check my emails and had a ton of them. I have no idea how I am ever going to catch up. I just need to sit in front of the computer for a full day and maybe I will be able to get back on track.

Life has just seemed so crazy lately. I weekend was long but fast, if that makes any since. Oh and very tiring!! And know the week is just flying by, which I don't mind at all!! I can't wait until the weekend, maybe I can get someone to watch the baby for a few hours so I can get some extra sleep in, I am sooo lazy!!! Well it's getting late so I am going to hit the sack and cross my fingers that the little guy sleeps through the night!!

A night on the town....

Tonight was a very nice night. My mother in law watched the baby, as she does every Wednesday night because I have kickboxing class. Well this week kickboxing class was cancelled so hubby and I went to the movies. We went and saw Mr. and Mrs. Smith. If you have not seen the movie, I suggest seeing it. It is very funny and has some great fight scenes. This movie is a must buy when it comes out on DVD. Wedding Crashers is another great movie to see. All in all it was a nice, enjoyed night out!!! You have to have those every once in a while.

Learning a new trick...

I wanna got to an MC Chris show..

Last night MCG, vbkim and myself journeyed down to the State Theatre for the MC Chris show. Little to our surprise, we not only got to see MC Chris but 3 other acts as well.

The first group was a Dutch group. They were alright, but weren't the greatest. The lead singer looked much older than everyone else in the band. I would have sworn that it was a father and his kids, but what do I know?? I do know that they were from Amsterdam and all they were talking about was how it is legal to smoke over there. Duh, we already knew that!!

The second group was horrible. The were called Silence After Tragedy and they were from good ol' Pasco County Florida. For those not familiar with Florida, Pasco County is a pretty redneck County. All of their songs sounded the same because all they did was scream. Oh and one of the guitarist has a mullet(complete redneck). It wasn't my type of music so I was not interested.

The third group was called SNMNMNM. They were actually pretty good. We found out from one of the 15 year olds in attendence that this group has been touring with MC Chris. They had drums, guitars and even some brass instruments. This music I would buy and recommend, but none others up until this point.

Now on to the MC. 3 hours and 3 bands later, MC Chris finally comes out on stage. Now I had heard his music a couple of times before. I actually saw him on Attack of the Show on G4 a week earlier, so I kind of knew what to expect. However I did not know that I would be like the only person in the crowd not singing along. Oh well, I still had a good time. His performance lasted like an hour and a half so that was pretty cool!! He sang almost every song he has (from what have been told), went off on some rants, and told some stories. After he got done with his part of the show, he left the stage and then came back out and took request. I thought that was pretty cool and it is the nice thing about having a smaller show and not being too popular. For those of you that have never listened to MC Chris you will have to go to his website and listen to some of his songs. Oh and the picture above is of MC Chris and his DJ John. Apparently that picture was taken after a show when they were all tired and sweaty, exactly how I felt when I left.

So moral of the story is if you hear that MC Chris is coming to your town, get out and see him. The concerts cost like $10.00 and are worth the money.

I love my son..

Life has been different for me the past couple of days. I have had a few days off this week to spend time with my son. I have never had a day to hang out with just me and him. He was born early so by the time he came home from the hospital I was already back at work, not by my choice. It has been really fun!! We have gone to lunch with MCG everyday. Yesterday I was able to witness him sitting up by himself for the first time. What a wonderful feeling. I now know why moms like to stay home so much during their child's first year. Maybe next time I will get he chance, we'll just have to wait and see.

Concert time for mommy..

Well tonight I get my first taste of MC Chris. For those of you that visit the MCG site frequently I am sure you have heard of him before. He is a white rapper that also plays a character on Aqua Teen Hunger Force. I saw him perform on a show the other week but that is the only time I have ever heard him. This is the person MCG went to Orlando to see when the trip went haywire. This one is here in town so hopefully we will have a good time and no one will be going to the hospital. I am very excited!! It's also one of the few times I am able to go out without the baby. Well hopefully I won't have any horror stories tomorrow!!

Is it 2 boys, 2 girls, a boy and a girl... we will never know, but we do know that they are enjoying eachother!!!

What's up...

I have been trying to post since Monday, however things just haven't gone my way. We have 2 computers, the desktop which MCG uses and the 1997 laptop that I use. Well for some reason the laptop is threw with me. It will no longer allow me to check my email or log onto blogger. Damn POS!!! So it has taken me until now to be able to get on a computer that works to do what I need to do. So that's where I have been. Anyways, I am hoping that sometime in the near future we can get a new laptop so we don't have to battle for the computer.

Yippy, the week has ended...

This was a long and crappy week and what sucks is next week may be even worse. We are down a person at work so myself and another co-worker have had to work extra hard to make sure things don't get behind. I have been looking forward to next week for the past 4 months because I was scheduled to be off and spend time with the little guy. Well with us being down a person at work that is going to be unable to happen. Me being the nice soul that I am have decided to work 2 days next week. And my mother and mother in law being the loving grandparents they are made that happen. Yes folks they are each taking a day off to watch over my little man so I can go to work and go crazy!! I don't know what I would do without those wonderful ladies???

Alone at last...

That is what MCG will be screaming when he gets home from work on Friday. We were suppose to be taking a family trip to Jupiter, Florida this weekend, however due to work being busy from the hurricane MCG is not able to go. So little MCG and myself will be traveling with my parents alone. MCG and I met about 4 1/2 years ago and ever since the day we met we have not spend a day apart, that is why he will probably be so happy!! He has the whole house to himself. I sure sleeping in that king size bed alone will be nice. Well I will miss him and the doggies.

Kelly, the dancing queen!!!

I don't know if there are any Dancing with the Stars fans out there but I watched the whole run of the show. The only reason I was watching was because of Kelly Monaco. She is an actress on General Hospital, which happens to be my favorite soap opera. I loved the show. Now, she started out doing very crappy, however she pulled it off and walked away the winner of the show. On top of her turning into a really good dancer, she is also very HOT!!!

The weekend is over already.....

Hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!!!
I enjoyed mine, a nice 3 day weekend. The only problem with long weekends is that they go by way to fast!! I feel like we were barely home this weekend. I love the 4th of July. My 2 favorite things are the fireworks and I'm proud to be an American by Lee Greenwood. I really think that song should be our national anthem.
I also like the BBQ's, however I can only eat so many hamburgers and hotdogs!!! The stores should cut the price on steaks on holiday weekends so we can have a variety of foods to eat. That would be awesome.
I can't wait for the little guy to get bigger so he can enjoy the holidays as much as we do!! And I must add, he did look quit handsome in his 4th of July gear, I wish I would have gotten a picture!!

Reality TV update....

Ok, so we watched Beauty and the Geek tonight and oh my god!!! This week they had to go camping and then the people that went to the elimination room had to answer questions about the outdoors. Well one of the guys is a Boy Scout master. On their hike while camping he got sick and had to have the paramedics give him oxygen. Then in the elimination room he could not get any questions right. Come on!!! Your answering questions about your job and can't even get anything right, very sad!!! So now the guy that everyone can't stand is in the finals, next week should be very interesting. I'll keep you posted!!!

Keep it to yourself...

I don't know what is wrong with the people that live in this area but they like to make their personal business viewable by everyone. I am speaking about domestic disputes. I have come across at least 3-4 domestic disputes in the past year. The last one was the other day... This couple pulled their vehicle over on the side of the road and then got out and were on the sidewalk handling their business for god knows how long. They were there when I got home and about 30 minutes later when I took my dogs for a walk. Come on people take your problems inside and deal with them like adults, not high school kids. At least it wasn't as bad as the last one, that couple came barrelling out of the house swinging at eachother. Crazy stuff I tell you. Not a dull moment around here.

A very happy weekend...

I, as a parent, had a very happy weekend. Little McG has reached some milestones this weekend. On Friday he cut his first tooth. Now that has made him a little cranky, but nothing a little tylenol or teething tablets can't take care of. He has also learned to roll over and mastered that art. That is all he does now when he gets put down. It is really cool to see him just roll across the room like a little log. I am sure it will only be days before he is able to sit up and crawl. I say now I can't wait, but I am sure I will be cursing when he is into everything. He has also been packing on the pounds like they are nothing lately. I swear he has gained like 3 pounds since his last doctors appointment a month ago. I am such a proud mommy, can you tell...

Time... Where does it go???

Life goes by so fast and I feel like I am missing out on sooo much because there is not enough time in the day. I have to get up around 7am to get myself and the baby ready and drop the baby off. By the time the little guy gets picked up and we get home it is 6:30pm. I have to walk the dogs and get dinner ready. McG comes homes around 7:30pm and feeds the baby, he is in bed by 8:30pm and the day is almost over. I love making dinner for my hubby so that he has hot food to come home too. I just wish I could do more. I don't want to not work, but for me I feel like life would be better if I worked part-time that way I could spend more time with the baby and get more done around the house. The weekends go by so fast. Man before I know it my baby is going to be graduating high school and heading off to college, so sad to think about. Oh well, I'm going to go do some laundry and some cardio boot camp.

On Beauty and the Geek this evening the guys had to go out and get as many girls #'s as possible. Well in watching that a challenge was made. vbkim and Kurtruslfan were hanging out and vbkim said that her and I could get more phone #'s than McG and Kurtruslfan. So the challenge has been made. We will have to get all dolled up one night and go out and see what we can do. If anyone wants to give us their #'s to get us started we would appreciate it. I will let you know how it turns out. SEX!!!!

I don't understand men!! They always want sex. There have been a few occasions where I have invited my hubby to the bedroom and he has blown me off to blog. What is up with that?? Makes me think he is not interested in me anymore. So tonight he keeps bugging me and I am blowing him off so he can see how it feels. I know that it pisses me off. And I know it is not just my husband, I know another girl that said her husband blew her off to play online poker. What is happening to our men??? The damn internet is taking them over and personally, I don't like it!!

Happy Father's Day to all.. Especially my wonderful husband!!!

Today is Father's day... The first one for my hubby!! He has only been a father for a little over 7 months, but he has been one hell of a father. Not only did he start his fatherhood out as a stay at home dad with our little one, they were able to form an awesome bond that you don't usually see between a father and a baby. We had planned on making him breakfast in bed (french toast) and letting him relax until we had to get ready to go to the in-laws, however last nights events prevented that from happening. We attended a wedding for one of his high school friends and didn't get back to my parents to pick up the baby until late and he was wasted and I was tired so we stayed the night there. So that meant no breakfast in bed, but he did get awakened by the baby with a HUGE smile on his face. I hope that started his father's day off great!!

I am so proud of my wonderful husband and what a wonderful father he has been!! I had my concerns at the beginning, but he showed me I had no reason to be concerned. Our son loves him to death, and it makes me smile every time I see them together. I really hope that he grows up to be just like his father.

And MCG if you are reading this, remember that the little man loves you and looks up to you, while our little angel loves you and is watching down on you!!

Beauty and the Geek...

Ok, has anyone ever watched this show?? It's very weird. It pairs up pretty girls with jobs such as lingerie model, soriety girl, beer spokeswomen... and the men are geeks and have jobs like an asst boy scout leader, a mensa member... It's funny, they make men learn about womens clothes and the women have to learn about science type things. It is amazing how stupid some of these people are. One guy on there has never kissed a girl??? Go figure!! Anyways, gotta go hang out with the hubby!!

HD on the Big Screen...

I absolutely love our new TV!! It is at its best when in HD!! I am counting down the days to football season (88 days in case you were interested). Right now I have the computer on top of a box and a step ladder as my chair pulled up to the box so I can watch the beautiful TV and blog at the same time. How much better can life get?? (It would be better if the laundry would do itself) Hubby on the other hand is upstairs on the desktop computer watching the older smaller TV, haha!!!

What the F**K..........

After today's not guilty verdict was handed to Michael Jackson I realized a few things.
1. Child molesters every where that have been punished for their actions are pissed,
2. If you are black and rich you will not be going to jail, no matter what crime you have committed,
3. If your child is going sleep with a child molester make sure he is rich so that you can make some money from it.

Enough about that, I get pissed just thinking about it!!!

Lesson Learned...

Living in Florida it rains a lot!! Today I learned a valuble lesson about rain...

Never take your family to the store when it is raining, especially if you do not have an umbrella. Just something I wanted to share with those that have young children.

Birthday Parties....

How much is to much to spend on a birthday party for a child??

We attended a birthday party this weekend for a family member that turned 4. It was a pool party at a local recreation center with slides and diving boards and the whole shabang. It was a good time, however I over heard the cost and about lost my mind.....

$600, just to rent the recreation center for 4 hours. They also provided food and cake and cupcakes. I thought to myself I hope my child never expects something this elaborate!!

I threw a surprise for MCG for his birthday last year and thought I was crazy for spending around $100. That was an awesome party though. He always knows what is going on, but he never caught on to the surprise party. I thought he might shit himself when he opened the door and saw all of the people standing there. Great memories!!

Anyways, just wanted to put that out there and see what the average cost of a birthday party is to the average person so I can start saving my money now for the little guys birthday.

Weekend fun..

We have decided to take advantage of the long weekend and do some stuff. We started off by going to the beach on Saturday. The little guy really liked the beach and the pool. Then on Sunday it was off to take some family photos (which didn't turn out very well, the little guy was not a happy camper). Then off to Circuit City to buy some bling bling. Yes, we purchased a beautiful big screen TV and a new surround sound system to go with it. Needless to say our neighbors are now going to hate us, but o'well!! Today we are off to do some more purchasing, we are getting new carpet for our livingroom. So pretty much in one weekend we redid our entire livingroom. Man long weekends can be kind of dangerous. Hope we can save up some money before the 4th of July so we can have another fun long weelend. I wonder what room we will decide to redo then??

Sickness..

I am sick and absolutely hate it. All of my energy has been taken away from me so I am having a hard time doing anything. Not a good think in this house. I have a husband, baby and dogs that need to be taken care of. I have no energy to cook dinner, so I don't know how hubby plans to eat tonight. Hope he can find something quick and easy to make. This really sucks!! It's a 3 day weekend and we are suppose to be going to the beach tomorrow. Babies first day at the beach, it should be very interesting!! Well I am going to go get some rest in hopes that I feel better and can enjoy the weekend instead of spending it in bed sick.

I just got done watching American Idol!! I am so pulling for Carrie!! She kicked some major ass on that stage tonight. I can't wait until tomorrow night to see who wins it all. Gotta go vote for Carrie.

Woman calls police, goes to jail

A Decatur, Alabama woman called police to say that someone had broken into her home.

When officers arrived to check things out, they searched her home. Inside, police found a stolen .38 caliber revolver, crack cocaine and powder cocaine.

Needless to say, the woman who called police ended up getting arrested.

Come on now how dumb do you have to be. Hide your shit before the police get there!!! More dumb-ass criminals to come..

Mommy/Baby day....

Friday was mommy/baby day and what a day it was. I found out what it is like to have your child be pissed at you, and he is only 6 months old. Our morning started out nice and early at the pediatrician office for his 6 month check-up. Everything checked out fine and then the bad part, 3 shots.. Man if he didn't make me feel awful, he cried for like 30 minutes, which felt like 3 hours. Then off to the eye doctor we went. There a nurse held his face while the doctor pried his eyes open to check them, that really pissed him off. By now, it was noon and he was completely through with me. I swear if he could talk he would have cursed me out. Then after all of that, he had a low grade fever today. No one ever told me raising a child would be sooo much fun!!! For those of you without kids, they didn't give you any warnings when you bring them home from the hospital. You just get the baby and you are on your own. Hopefully over the next 18 years things will get better. (Wishful thinking)!!!

Adrian...

That lovely tropical storm headed for the Carribean. It's kind of odd that there is already a tropical storm out there and it's not even hurricane season yet. I hope this isn't a sign that we are going to have another crazy hurricane season. After last year, living in Florida isn't all that wonderful. We lost our power 2 different times last year for a few days each time, which means going to live with relatives until we get our power back on. We also had to replace the carpet in our family room due to water getting in the house. Man what a shitty hurricane season it was. Not quite ready for it to start up again, but what can you do....

Learning to kick some ass.......

I've decided it has been 6 months since I had my baby and it's time for me to get back in shape and lose the rest of that baby fat. So, to get back in shape I decided to start taking a kick boxing/pilates class once a week. Boy have I learned just how out of shape I really am. After 5 minutes I am huffing and puffing and about to pass out.... Yeah I end up being in a lot of pain for the next couple of days after the class but I have learned a few lessons and it has only been 2 weeks; 1. It is a great workout and will kick my ass back into shape, 2. It will teach me how to kick my mans ass, or any other mans ass for that matter. He'll learn not to F with me in a few weeks when I have learned all the moves needed to put him on the ground in pain. I can't wait....

House of McG.....

To get the record straight, the house of McG is a wonderful place to live. Yes, guys do get addicted to video games like they are crack, but they are only human and it is a phase. The damn game has been beaten so back to blogging it is for McG. What a happy wife I am... Boy I can't wait for the day when the little one can play video games with his father, what a fun household it will be then. But whatever, I love these guys and nothing will ever change that. Enough sappiness, time to go hang out with the hubby.
